Neighborhood Electric Vehicle

Neighborhod electric vehicles in the small communities?
What role could play electric vehicles in the neighborhood of a transportation system, what to serve? Are there environmental, social or economic? How can new development or renovation urban suited to these vehicles? And most importantly, the policy should be structured to support this movement?
Men – Do you want to write a thesis?
Seriously – that is a big issue – so forgive me for hitting only acouple of points. First, there are two types of electric vehicles – small "golf cart" type already in use in many areas, and full-fledged car. The former are certainly too limited. You can not put a family in and they have the speed and power you need for safety in normal traffic – even if we can overcome the inclination of people to drive as if they were in the Indy 500. A total of full electricity for urban travel is a thecnolological obvious – we can build them anytime we like. That is a fact. And with a range of about 200 kilometers, the technology now makes more than enough for urban use. BUT – electric are only one component of what must be seen as a larger system. To see what I mean, think of our current gas vehicles. They do not work in isolation – it must be supported by a network of stations service, storage facilities, pipelines, refineries and oil wells. Without that infrastructure, a gas-powered car is 3000 pounds of dead metal goes in no part. for electricity to start coming into use – we have enough infrastructure – you can connect to get home. But to take full advantage, we need an infrastructure oriented electric cars – andthat ENRGY alternative means of production. There are a number of possible ways to do this – and the system develops almost certainly be a mixture of them all. Here are a few examples of the subsystems of the infrastructure:> solar energy (especially storage batteries). One possible configuration: an electric car with "massive battery recall. Leave a battery pack in the house of cargo from the solar panels and exchange for emptying when you get home from work> nuclear power. Many environmentalists are still nervous about it. but a lot of people (including me) think we can to address potential hazards, given the technology available now. I hope so – because one way or another, I think we will see a lot of new power plants nuclear energy.> wind, etc. There are two technologies that – if Tey show out – we will give a whole new crop of billionaires. S super-cheap solar panels – And odds are very goood see in the market in 5 years. The other is a very good system of storage battery that is profitable. That would remedy the weakness Main ENRGY solar energy – no evening work. With regard to urban planning and policy – that drasticaly will change in coming years – so that promotes electric cars. The reason is one word: water. We simply do not have water resources (even discounting the effects of climate change to come) to maintain current urban policies. In my area (north Georgia) who are receiving a very unpleasant lesson that in this time — as people in California. And those are the non-poor areas with natural water supplies, but quite the opposite, actually. Media – or more – of water used in these areas is waste – grass huge etc, but can have urban areas are much more compact (it has a lot of other benefits – and meet your neighbors) without being at all cramped. These spaces urban areas have far fewer traffic problems and are ideal for the small cars we're talking ttypes. I'll stop now – time to hit the sack!
