As soon as an automaker sells 60,000 vehicles hybrids, where tax credits expire. Toyota, Honda and Lexus hybrid cars: No tax credits available – all expired. Ford: $ 1700 tax credit for hybrid Fusion, $ 1500 for the Escape Hybrid. Both expire this September. Nissan: tax credit $ 2,350 for the Altima Hybrid as the above types. Nowhere close to expiring, and that Nissan sold nowhere near 60,000 of them due to limited availability (only available in 8 states). GM: GM's all hybrids qualify for different amounts, and are far from expiring by GM sold nowhere near 60,000 of them.
