Hybrid Car Reliability
I'm looking at buying a Ford Escape Hybrid. I have a concern about service problems.?
I know someone who has a hybrid 2007 and 35,000 miles of your service a nightmare. Is this a common problem? 2006 also had a gas leak with similar problems in 35,000 miles. Theirs is a vehicle fleet of your company. This is not what I wanted to hear. I do not own a car made in America in many years due to problems reliability and this frightens me a headache buying service. Does anyone have any knowledge about the reliability and problems of sevice of the Escape?
There is three rules on owning a hybrid: 1 – Not having accidents. The hybrids can not be repaired at any repair shop – usually only at the dealers or certificate hybrid service centers. They can be expensive to repair things that are not covered by the warranty, such as accidents. 2 – Follow the maintenance schedule of religion (which is not equipped hybrid hard to do – Device of Split-like Toyota and the Escape Hybrid is very low maintenance). 3 – See Rule # 1. The thing with the Ford Escape Hybrid is that if you take good care of him and not ACCIDENTS must be very reliable for the duration of their property. Once the car is bad in an accident or whatever, that is when the real trouble begins. This is true of a lot of cars though, not just hybrids – Once repaired after an accident, things often do not work very well already. Otherwise, things should be covered under warranty, including the hybrid system and battery, which carries its own 8 years / 100,000-mile warranty. Here in New York, where I am, used as taxis Fehse, and get abused a lot of taxi drivers. Many of them have done so and more than 175,000 miles without problems despite the abuse. So compare carefully. Remember to submit its form IRS Tax Credit for that $ 3,000 rebate from Uncle Sam ($ 2,200 for the 4WD version) if you decide to buy the 2008 Escape Hybrid. I hope
