Gem Car Guy

Gem Car Guy
I remove the "peoples" badge on my car, but unsure how to do this?

Hey guys, I recently bought a Honda Civic 1999, her wee gem but it has really upset a plate on the back advertising in the garage the previous owner bought the car a. It is a silver badge on with what looks like double-sided adhesive foam. I am sure how to take off. I heard that you can pour hot water over it and then peel it off? But, How can I get the rest of the sticky residue off? My other problem is with the fading sun, the car is red in color, manufacturers of name is' pearl Carmen red '. From what the previous owner said that the board has been in at least 6 years. What are the chances that you will not be able to spot the difference in color shade between normal and color that was hidden under the plate? Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

WD-40 is excellent to remove plaque and residue left behind. Simply spray around the plate to run behind. It may take a couple of applications, but will remove it. No use a heat gun as the possibility of detachment of the painting around it. The painting may appear brighter but very easily be combined with a compound Turtle Wax polishing and polishing cream. Maguire also has an excellent product that will give you the results you seek ….
