Electric Vehicle Magazines

Electric cars. I would like someone who actually has one for me to know how they actually like owning one.?

I have read a lot of magazine articles about electric cars, however, I would like to hear from someone who actually owns one or has owned one in the past. Tell me of mainanence and the cost involved, the initial cost of the vehicle, the problems, battery life, Does the vehicle have a pick-up, how are handled on the road can be driven in the winter, buy a new one, local trips or longer trips 3 hours, what is the method of loading and, what is the Warranty as? Are they expensive to run? Any disadvantages of the property? Interior roominess? Security? A passenger and two suitcases fit inside? I would listen on the tiny beings who see more and more on the road today, and others. She would also appreciate honest answers and I am very interested in buying one, but do not know personally anyone who owns one. Should I buy new or used? Please let me know what brand / model you have when you tell me about it. Thank you for your time

I bought it used, off eBay for just $ 2000, and bought new batteries for about $ 800. It's a cool little car that is very cheap to drive – electricity costs about a penny per mile. It does speed highway, and accelerates and handles well. This is an old car with lead-acid batteries will last about 5 years (new electric vehicles that can use batteries last 10 years or more). Given the mileage I drive, the battery replacement costs represent about 2 to 4 cents per mile. So my total cost of driving is 3 to 5 cents per mile, which is much cheaper than gasoline. There really is very little maintenance to worry, because a motor Power has only one moving part. This car has all original parts from 1981 (except the brake pads), because nothing is being spent.
