Electric Vehicle Infrastructure

Electric Vehicle Infrastructure
What is the reasoning behind hydrogen cars?

It seems like every car company is the design of cells hydrogen fuel cars and marketing them as a gift to the environment. I do not understand is why a hydrogen car is to be better that a charged battery, just electric vehicle. Do not make hydrogen using electricity? It not only fuel cells convert hydrogen into electricity to power a motor? Why not cut the hydrogen all together and have batteries? What am I missing? I understand that fuel cells would be quicker to refuel, but hydrogen would also be volatile, expensive and there is no infrastructure for it. My sense of thermodynamics I also said that storing electricity as hydrogen is energy intensive.

> I do not understand is why a hydrogen car is better then a> simply charge the battery with electric vehicles. In theory you are right. === In practice one of the important aspect of hydrogen cars is that they can be completed in 5 minutes (compared to hours for the battery of the car). Moreover hydrogen can be created in the area where clean energy are a lot (Arizona, etc) and then just carried. But with electricity, there is some loss of high-energy transport distance. And another thing about hydrogen is that it can be pre-produced and stored. Good ……. lucky
