Any way to build a road and a road-tracking system?

My idea is to replace all paths with some kind of monitoring system probably a magnetic track. As in Minority Report. People could buy a "self" to be able to access the court system. The issue may be electrically operated from a central location with a much higher efficiency than electric vehicles with batteries or hydrogen. His "car" could be linked to the system and bring it to eliminate any human error in driving. Unlike other potential failures early, traffic accidents deaths would be eliminated. I understand that this idea would cost much money, not even his grace, but I'm sure the existing road and the road network seemed at least so great an undertaking. I think life This would save would more than pay for itself. Someone could get as drunk as they would like and not endanger the others on the way home.
