What do you think about electric cars?

This idea has been around for quite some time, and some models even launched commercially but later withdrew from the market. What do you think about a car that uses no gasoline and electricity only works? Do you think it should be offered the general public for the same price as other cars?

The main problem with electric cars is now limiting the range caused by batteries. Cruising range (the distance you can travel without recharging the batteries is low and the car needs to be refilled for a long period before it was ready to go again. In contrast, a gas-powered car will have a much longer range, and can be recharged in less than 10 minutes to pump gas. The reason which were withdrawn from the market is not practical for most people, and do not sell well.
