What do you think are the negative aspects of owning and driving an electric car?

I already have a broad knowledge of electric cars past to present. I want to hear their perspectives so that I know what makes people question whether about electric cars, or show potential knowledge gaps due to education is not fully the teaching of this technology. Since the media ads shown smart all the time for gases difficult or flashy motor vehicles, and since gas vehicles are all we know at this point, it creates paradigms. Your answers will help enlighten us all on this issue.

———————- Technology does not stop, and most of the negatives of electric vehicles in the minds of people have already been addressed. * Unfortunately, the EV has a bad reputation to overcome, based on numerous past attempts to revive the technology. You can see this on the basis of some of the other responses here. Most of these negatives are unjust, even the old technology of electric vehicles. * For example, technology electric vehicle is very reliable, and always has been. I drive an EV built in 1981. The electric motor does not need 25 years service. How is this possible? Electric motors have only one moving part. There is nothing to break. No oil changes, filters, coolant, or whatever else is needed. * Another example: Are electric vehicles dangerous for the environment because of pollution from power plants or toxic chemical battery? No, they are not. EVS is much more efficient, so even if dirty fuel is burned in the plant, it generates much less pollution compared to cars gasoline engine. * But even so bad, because only 50% of electricity is from coal, and only 3% of the oil. And this situation, Unlike gasoline, which steadily improves as the grid is clean. * In addition, the battery chemistry most recent like the Li-ion and supercapacitors, use of less harmful substances (the EPA does not believe Li-ion be dangerous), have a much longer lifespan (supercapacitors should last the life car), and are fully recyclable. So-called "pollution requirements of the battery" is also compared with in the context of oil engine coolant used and typical car because these substances pose much greater risks for the environment than batteries do. * What about the demand for electricity? Do not strain network EVs to the breaking point? Again, not because EVs, for the most part, the load at night – when electricity passes now to the waste. So, a lot of electricity goes to waste during the night because power plants can not completely close off when demand decreases. Several million electric vehicles can be charged overnight before any additional capacity will be needed. * In addition, large amounts of electricity is used to refine the gas! This electricity can only be changed directly over power EVs. * What about the problem of the driving range?
