They say they can not make an automatic electricity …?
Is it true that you can not convert a vehicle with automatic transmission to electricity? And why not? It seems to me that would be ideal to use an automatic system since there is only one way forward: Drive. While in a manual vehicle, the electric motor could use 1st gear, but leave the rest as waste notches in the gearbox. This of course is the assumption that an electric motor only has the following gears: Neutral Forward Reverse Off Thanks, and please speak in simple terms! I'm no mechanic or electrician, just curious to know why we're not seeing it-yourself electric vehicles and perhaps beyond ..
